How Camon 20 Premier 5G fuses unique functionality with style
May 18, 2023
When people upgrade to premium phones, experts at Makeuseof.com say it is due to three reasons: they want a more robust battery, new software support, or new features. The TECNO Camon Premier 20 crosses these lines with a bonus on functionality and a design that can best be described as a head-turner.
The design is so sleek and unique that the smartphone brand, TECNO owned by Transsion, won the gold award at the MUSE Design Awards 2023 under the Product Design Telecommunication category. Fundamentally, the MUSE Design Awards is an international competition for designers whose craftsmanship shift paradigms. The award was created by the International Awards Associate (IAA) in 2015.
Launched on 9 May 2023, the mid-range TECNO Camon 20 Premier 5G fuses a unique design with seamless functionality. For a premier smartphone, it makes a remarkable play on less is better. For example, the phone replaces the long SIM card tray with a smaller one that is only inches above the nano SIMs. The SIM cards do not have to lie side by side, requiring more space. The smaller SIM tray allows the cards to lie facing each other and you don't have to worry about any card falling as the tray holds them firmly.
Also, TECNO does not clog the screen or set you up with apps that you do not need. But with 256 internal storage, that is hardly a concern. The back is made from TECNO's new magic skin technology featuring the Puzzle Deconstructionist Design which is inspired by the deconstructionist genre of postmodern architecture. TECNO fuses the magic skin with ceramic materials to create the unique CAMON Puzzle design.
With its 6.67-inch size AMOLED display, the phone is very light in weight, meaning you can throw it into your bag and add an extra load. The display comes with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 which offers a sharp, clear image with a wide range of colours and excellent contrast. This resolution is ideal for viewing high-definition content such as movies, TV shows, and video games. The phone's brightness immediately drops when the device is not in use to reduce energy consumption.

Some built-in speakers help to enhance the quality of your entertainment, or if you are transcribing a voice recording, you don't need to strain to hear what the other party said.
Scrolling and switching apps on the phone are very smooth. Gaming on the phone also comes off without a hitch because of the refresh rate and powerful software and hardware combination.
The phone's performance is further enhanced because it is powered by the Mediatek MT6769Z G85 Octa-core processor, and it runs on the Android 13 and HIOS 13 operating systems. Android 13 is Google's latest mobile operating system that comes with upgraded features. Some of these features include more colours in the theme options. Before its release last year, users were only about to choose from four wallpaper colours and four basic colours. But Android 13 now allows you to choose from 16 colours.
The phone's memory is also rock-solid at 8 GB RAM and 256 GB internal storage. This gives more room for those who hoard media files, play resource-intensive games, or create video or image content online. You can binge non-stop on videos and games on the Li-Po 5000 mAh non-removable battery. Li-Po batteries are capable of storing a proportionately high amount of energy compared to older technology. In many cases, they offer over 4 times the energy capacity for the weight. The battery supports 18w of charging. On a full charge, you can go a whole without needing another charge if you are a heavy user.
The Camon 20 Premier 5G camera is by far the top feature of this unique 5G-enabled smartphone. The back of the phone is flat with a pentagon-shaped camera module housing a triple rear camera configuration. This consists of a 64-megapixel primary camera, a 2-megapixel depth camera, and a macro camera.
There is also a 32MP selfie and dual LED flash. The results are pictures that are so clean anyone could mistake them for a studio photograph. The video recording is capped at 4K 30fps for the rear cameras and 1440p (2K) 30fps for the selfie camera.
It is also important to highlight how TECNO's innovative technology of RGBW brought very brilliant night portraits on its projects, by replacing the "green" array solution in the traditional RGGB colour filter with a ‘white’ one, the RGBW sensor allows more light to be captured.
With greater light transmission, TECNO Camon 20 Premier 5G lets users capture the crystal-clear night portrait in stunning definition, never losing detail in the dark.
The TECNO Camon 20 Premier 5G is waterproof, heat and cold-resistant, and station and abrasion resistant. This is because the finishing is made from a unique blend of polymers and micro-particles which create a skin-friendly, stylish and easy-to-clean coating that is both visually appealing and functional as well.
